"We had a fantastic time seeing Yathu at the Roasted Granola! Yathu is an engaging storyteller, a gifted card artist, and natural entertainer. We couldn’t believe how he pulled off some of his tricks, especially while making them look so effortless the whole time. He kept us laughing at his wicked humor while amazed at his flawless routines. We can’t wait to see him again -- don’t pass up an opportunity to watch him perform!"

"I've had the good fortune to see Yathunandh perform on many occasions, and every time I'm blown away. He can pull off tricks that top-tier magicians perform on television; the kind of tricks that leave you in disbelief. You'll know sleight-of-hand occurred, but have literally no idea when or how. To cap off the absurdity, he'll do it all with a nonchalant air, making the impossible seem mundane or a simple product of not having a girlfriend."

I recently saw Yathu’s magic show with my family at the Roasted Granola in Arlington. The evening went something like this…
“Ok, his set up has some good storytelling, so let’s see what the show is like…Ha! I see where that card went – oh. I guess I miscounted, but I’ll pay more attention next time…Wait, what? That can’t be right…HOW DID HE DO THAT?...There must be some extra cards here somewhere. Maybe he has a little space-time portal hidden up his sleeve…I don’t have a clue how he does this…but let’s see what happens next!”
We had a great time and even the teenagers were impressed!

"Hey y’all, I am Mystique Cavanaugh and I am one of the lucky people who got to go and watch Yathu’s performance of magic. I was able to get a front row seat to watch his close-up magic card tricks. I had an absolute ball while being there. It was a lot of fun to watch and thankfully, I was lucky enough to be able to participate in it. His magic tricks were great and left me wondering “how did he do that?” He was wonderful with the audience, and all & all a great performer. The venue that the performance was done at was small, but that did not stop a really good amount of people from showing up. Everybody was smiling and laughing, which was awesome and everybody also seem to really enjoy themselves while being there. I would recommend Yathu’s magic performances anytime of day and I look forward to seeing another one.!!"

"I have now attended several shows in which I have seen Yathu perform, and I must say that he truly has one of the most entertaining magic shows I have ever seen. To me, it has always felt like most magicians use sleight of hand, perspective, and other “smoke and mirror” facades to convince their audience to believe in the extraordinary. What sets Yathu apart for me is that he explicitly tells you that he is going to be tricking you, and yet the magic of the act is not diminished. Yathu’s acts don’t come off as cheap tricks, but instead a discussion between him and the audience which really engages the viewer. Yathu’s framework for his acts around the “history of the card cheat” is a fascinating spin on the genre that makes you appreciate it all the more. Yathu’s walkthroughs of crooked deals, underhanded tactics, and all the ways to rig a card game combined with him simultaneously performing the acts he is describing makes parts of his show feel like a magic TED talk and I find that to be an absolutely refreshing spin on card magic. On top of that, Yathu’s humor and personal engagement with his audience helps to really bring you into that world of hazy gambling halls and underground poker dens in a way I’ve never seen a magician pull off before. All of these factors combine to make a unique experience that is refined and elegant, but also witty and humorous. Yathu’s emphasis on the history, skill, and dedication behind the craft proved to me that magic isn’t just a string of cheap tricks and misdirects but instead a carefully honed art and being able to see that makes the experience that much more magical. While Yathu can show you a million and one ways that he can rig a game of poker to ensure he wins, his skills manipulating decks of cards and also captivating his audience ensures that whoever has the opportunity to see him perform is the true winner."
